Create the buying specification
Define the intended device architecture, primary container, nominal volume, dose logic, activation sequence, reuse model, target user environment, target markets, materials, branding, packaging, annual forecast, launch timing and evidence expectations. Confirm forecast, order cadence, lead time, safety stock, component risks, Incoterms, import responsibilities and acceptance. Require notification and approval for relevant changes. Monitor delivery, quality signals, complaints and corrective actions. Periodically refresh supplier and certificate information because entities, scopes and validity can change. The buying process continues after the first shipment; controlled maintenance is what preserves the configuration that was originally approved.
