Recurring unit-cost drivers
Unit cost reflects the parts count, mechanism complexity, material grade, metal content, electronics, primary-container interface, assembly steps, inspection requirements, yield, packaging configuration and order volume. Build a comparable RFQ
Send the same requirement matrix to each supplier. Include target market, intended architecture, container, dose, materials, branding, packaging, pilot quantity, annual forecast, launch timing, test expectations and delivery terms. Ask for a breakdown of samples, engineering, tooling, testing, packaging setup, unit price and logistics assumptions. Require exclusions and validity period. If important inputs are unknown, request a feasibility phase rather than a production quote.
